Security

A sophisticated security system forms the core of a Pagelocker application.

Pages can be secured and linked to an unlimited list of authorised users in Pagelocker. Each user has a user profile record in the database which can be tailored to your requirements. Sections of the site and/or privileged information are protected from unauthorised access, requiring users to be logged in and verified before viewing sensitive areas.

Pagelocker's robust integrated security system has been designed to allow complete flexibility. By assigning pre-determined permissions to a user's Profile, Pagelocker can tailor security requirements to any specification.

You may want a 'Members Only' section, or need to hide sensitive documents from unauthorised viewers. Users are assigned to multiple Groups, each Group being assigned certain permissions allowing them access to specific areas of the site, administration function or application features. When a user is logged in, they instantly receive all of the permissions for the groups to which they are assigned.

As a user moves through the site, they are monitored by Pagelocker and their permissions verified before being given access to any page or document. If a user attempts to access an unauthorised area they are redirected to a login page.

There is no limit to the number of groups or permissions created so the security of your site can be as detailed as you need it to be.

The user profiles can be extended to included any fields that your application requires. User activity information is combined with Pagelocker's usage logs to provide invaluable statistics on website activity grouped by any of the user profile fields. For example, you can identify the most active organisation accessing your members area or people who have not visited a particular section of the site.
