Summary:
agreeAdate was developed to solve the frustrating problem of trying to find a
date and time for a meeting or event that is suitable for everyone.
This mainstream application is developed in a way that provides a fast and
intuitive interface for users as well a minimising the load on the server.
The brief
This project was conducted as an in-house project. The brief to the
developers was as follows:
- allow users to register online and use the system for free with certain
restrictions
- allow the user to quickly and intuitively enter event details and select
multiple dates and times
- send attractive HTML emails to invitees
- collect and collate responses keeping the event organiser informed after each
update
- provide a centralised online resource for managing all evens and contacts
- perform main navigation and rendering on the client browser to reduce the load
on the server and, more importantly, provide instant an response to the user
How we answered it
agreeAdate was developed in Microsoft .Net and was designed by one of our
in-house graphic designers.
By using JavaScript extensively rather than server-side script, we were able to
provide a rich user interface without forcing the user to wait for the screen to
refresh after moving between the major sections or after making selections.
We have received excellent feedback from users and the usage of agreeAdate is
spreading rapidly for organising everything from business meetings to dinner
parties.

Security
Security and user management is all handled by our PageLocker content
management and security solution.
