IFST needed to integrate a large membership database with an extranet that would faciltate communication and encourage new membership through an attractive interface and information-rich content. Their application includes:

  • Password-protected members' area supporting different access rights for different users
  • Full content management for all web and database content
  • Bulk HTML email to allow bulk emails to be sent to one or more groups of users registered on the system
  • Members' forum
  • Multiple document archives
  • Data-driven content fed from a new SQL-server database to provide latest news and upcoming events etc
  • Traffic Analysis report facility
  • Form builder application to edit forms
  • Search and advanced search, with option to confine search to current section
  • Accessibility tools to enlarge/reduce font size and change colouring to high contrast
  • All content to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA or higher
