agreeAdate Web Application Online invitations meeting planner / meeting scheduler agreeAdate was developed to solve the frustrating problem of trying to find a date and time for a meeting or event that is suitable for everyone. This mainstream application is developed in a way that provides a fast and intuitive interface for users as well a minimising the load on the server. Since launch, the service has been expanded to cover different types of event scheduling such as planning sports fixtures.

THE FOOD AND DRINK FEDERATION WINNER - WEBSITE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2004 System Analysis and Web Application Web applications to support FDF's communications activities. The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) represents the UK's food and drink manufacturing industry. PSE were asked by FDF to develop a members only area within their existing website. The extranet contains a secure document archive and various committee pages. Editing of page and database content is provided through our PageLocker system.

DELL Web Application Bid management system for Dell. PSE worked with Dell to develop a bid management system for Dell's European sales headquarters. The system is based on an n-tier architecture using Visual Basic COM components running under Microsoft Transaction Server. The front-end application was developed using Visual Interdev to run on Microsoft Internet Explorer. The database was developed on Oracle 8 with extensive use of PL/SQL stored procedures to maximise performance.

Fire Precaution Services Web Application Online questionnaire system for FPS. Fire Precaution Services Ltd approached PSE to design and develop an online system to allow owners and tennants of public buildings to complete fire risk assessment questionnaires. The system allows users to register and pay for credits in order to complete a questionnaire. A risk assessment report is then produced as a high quality PDF file containing recommended actions based on the answers given in the questionnaire. FPS are able to create templates using a simple Excel spreadsheet and upload this to the web application to make it live for new types of premises.

FOODLINK Web Application BAFTA nominated foodlink website. PSE developed the new foodlink website for the Food and Drink Federation. This site was launched in April 2002 and is the focus of the National Food Safety Week programme. The site uses our PageLocker system to control content management and access to the database.

BRE Bespoke Software Project and Resource Management System for BRE. We have developed a Visual Basic 6.0 client-server application for the Building Research Establishment to handle financial and resource management. The application includes graphical task scheduling, a database query engine and a number of tailored reports. Budgets, forecast and actual cost and manpower figures are presented with the information drawn from a number of sources including the internal Timesheet Editor. The database is stored on Oracle and is accessed from the Visual Basic application using ADO.

BERKSHIRE OPHTHALMIC LABORATORIES Bespoke Software Windows-based software. BOL required ongoing development and support of the control software for their Optidrill Evo. Some software had been developed in-house to provide basic hole drilling for fixing the lenses to the frame. Market opportunities required the ability to design complex shapes and machine them onto the lens.

SHARPSTREAM LIFE SCIENCES Intranet development Sharpstream is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with executive selection for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Sharpstream were using Microsoft Sharepoint for their Intranet system but needed to improve their access to their library of documents. PSE's PageLocker system was chosen to provide a new Intranet solution with an integrated e-Library.

ISCP SURGEONS LOG Online database The Royal College of Surgeons (England) commissioned PSE to develop a logbook for trainee surgeons and consultant to enter details of operations they have performed. PSE produced an ASP.Net web application linked to a SQL Server database to provide a secure online database with national and regional reporting sections.
